Louie Smith

Hello, my name is Louie Smith and I am a dog trainer who has recently moved back to Richmond. Before I get into what I can offer, let me give you some background on myself. My dog training journey began two years ago, when I decided to adopt a Belgian Malinois. Quickly realizing I was in over my head, I immersed myself in dog training theory. As I went further down the rabbit hole, I found myself falling in love with the process of training and decided to pursue training as a career. In the past two years, I have had the opportunity and privilege to compete and title my dog while learning hands on from national champions and highly regarded trainers. My training philosophy stems from Peter Scherk’s and Dr. Florian Knabl's Successful Together and Helmut Raiser’s Der Schutzhund.
